Changing Hearts US
Week of February 18, 2018

Be prepared that this could be your last Lent.

2017 was the last Lent for the 17-people shot in Florida.

Pray this week for Nebraska & Nevada.  May all their citizens recognize God’s mercy and love in their lives and work to move their morals to match God’s morals.

Our fasting suggestions are found in Matthew 6 where Jesus detailed the 3 duties of a Christian —giving, praying and fasting.  Now choose the favorite food that you eat often.  Perhaps it is  fancy coffee or fast food.  Fast from it all week

Lent is a good time to daily spend quiet time with the Lord. Please continue to pray for healing for our National Coordinator, Kay Dodds.

Prayer Point:   In a shocking policy announcement, Walgreens Drug stores has now directed its stores to allow men full and unrestricted access to women’s restrooms in all of its 8,100 stores.  It seems that they have not learned from Target.  Who with a similar policy have had dozens of women and children victimized by male predators inside Target stores.

Praise Point:  On Friday Feb 16th the movie “Samson” is opening in theaters. “‘Samson’ is based on the powerful, biblical epic of a champion chosen by God to deliver Israel. His supernatural strength and impulsive decisions quickly pit him against the oppressive Philistine empire.  Don’t misses it.  We need more biblical movies.  Here is a trailer for you viewing

Prayer Point:  In light of the High School shooting last week, you may be interested to know that under current legislation, in the state of Florida there is no minimum age requirement for an individual to be criminally indicted as an adult. Youth would be put into jail or prison with criminal adults.

Currently Florida House Bill 509 and Senate Bill 936, if passed would reform the current system and prevent youths under the age of 14 from entering the adult criminal system.  This takes prayer to understand what should be done here.  Lord, help our society which has truly lost its way from your plan.

Praise Point:  Seoul, South Korea — As the 2018 Winter Olympic Games continue in Pyeongchang, the world is watching Korea for more than just sports.  People are remembering Korea’s first priest, Andrew Kim Taegon, was born 1821 into an aristocratic Korean family that eventually included three generations of martyrs. “St. Andrew Kim Taegon exhorted believers to draw from divine love the strength to remain united and to resist evil,” even then prayers were going up for a united Korea.

Prayer Point: Avoid this TV show. ‘The Detour’ which is contributes to the depravity of our society.  Every scene is filled with extremely foul language, using the Lord’s name in vain, sexual innuendos, and graphic encounters.  If you wish to have this show removed from the air waves, urge advertisers to place the program on their “do not advertise” list in protest of the attempt to desensitize America and our children by promoting inappropriate behavior.  One of their advertisers is Sleep Number.  You can contact them at 763-551-7000 or e-mail Sleep Number at
