Changing Hearts US
Week of January 21, 2018

The culture’s newest attack seems to be aimed at Children

Pray this week for Maine and Maryland.  May our east coast family open their eyes to the sad moral state of our country and join us in “Returning the culture to God”.

Our fasting suggestions are to fast from meat and snacks on our fast day or fast from resentment and bitterness.  Work on forgiving the people who have hurt you.  Show mercy to them.

Pass on the word about justice for babies born alive during a botched abortion (see news article below). Ask your Senator to vote to pass the bill. You can reach your Senator at 202-224-3121.

Please continue to pray for healing for our National Coordinator, Kay Dodds.

Praise Point:  Last Friday was the 2018 March for Life in D.C.  I hope you were able to be a part of it.  Changing Hearts was as we sent almost 5,000 bookmarks with the pilgrims to share with other pilgrims and to ask them to pray for the culture.

Prayer Point:  Child pornography leaves in its wake a trail of tragedy and shattered lives.  A bipartisan bill (S. 2152) has been introduced in the U.S. Senate which will bring its victims emotional healing and financial restitution. This bill was approved by Senate Judiciary Committee on Jan. 11.  Pray it passes.

Parents appalled in California kindergarten case

A kindergarten student was attempting to transition from one gender to another last spring when his teacher chose to read two books to her class, introducing students to transgenderism without notifying parents.  Emotions ran high during the next school board meeting.  One parent said, “My daughter came home crying and shaking, so afraid she could turn into a boy.”

The school board responded to concerns saying the books were age appropriate and fell within their literature selection policy. This meant the school did not need to alert parents and saw no need to alert them in similar incidents in the future.  Other teachers chimed in with the same opinion.

However, parental objections apparently had an impact for the school board did make a statement that they would engage parent and teachers in discussion about how material outside their curriculum would be addressed in the future. BE AWARE for the children in your school.  It could happen there.

Law says – Botched Abortions must treat the baby and keep it alive

On Friday the January 19as the March for Life was occurring, the House of Representatives passed a bill requiring medical care for babies surviving botched abortions.  The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protections Act requires physicians and abortion clinics to provide proper medical treatment for babies born alive after an abortion.  The bill mandates fines and the possibility of imprisonment for medical professionals found to be noncompliant. 317-496-6045 e-mail –
